Founded by the Smiley Family in 1869, our Victorian castle resort is nestled in the Hudson Valley, only 90 miles north of New York City. Surrounded by 40,000 acres of pristine forest, our National Historic Landmark resort offers farm-to-table cuisine and an award-winning spa.

The origin of the Mountain House lies in a ten-room inn, Stokes Tavern, purchased by Albert K. Smiley in 1869 along with 280 surrounding acres, converted over the years into the castle on a lake that we see today.

Owned and operated by the Smiley family since its inception, Mohonk Mountain House is a National Historic Landmark, a place of extraordinary scenic beauty, and a testament to the preservation of the wonders of the natural world.

Lundy Farm is a stunning 62-acre luxury nature retreat with a regenerative organic farm & greenhouse that is surrounded by 30,000 acres of forest.

There are multiple options for rentals to accommodate groups of different sizes between our two villas (The Lundy House & The Carriage House), and can even be a venue for your special event.
