Evoking an upscale feeling, from the art deco furnishings to the original ceiling beams, the 196 rooms at The Eliza Jane boast a spirited, authentic ambiance. Reserve one of 50 elegant suites for a view of the hotel’s courtyard or the city.

Conveniently located immediately adjacent to the hotel lobby, this dynamic event space accommodates both large and intimate gatherings. Mosaic patterned carpet, exposed brick walls, and decorative moldings contrast rugged with refined. Effective presentations are accomplished with ease due to the high-definition monitors, in-house sound system, and full AV connectivity. The Holbrook room features natural light, an entry foyer to accommodate registration or breaks, and vintage doors that open to reveal a private courtyard.

Located in the heart of the hotel, this comfortable library-style lounge refects the literary heritage of our historic building. Highlighting the building’s ties to The Daily Picayune newspaper, sourced antiques, books, typewriters, and other collectibles fill the numerous shelves. Plush leather and velvet seating draws guests to relax by the marble fireplace. This setting is ideal for social gatherings, receptions, and networking breakfasts.

Housed within the original factory that manufactured the famed Peychaud Cocktail Bitters, Couvant combines classic New Orleans style and French fair into a vibrant dining and gathering space. Rough-hewn brick walls, industrial fixtures, and an intimate fireplace ensure a most unique and authentic New Orleans experience.

The courtyard culture is a vital part of the unique destination that is New Orleans. Secreted within original brick walls and abundant foliage, a black-and-white patterned tile fountain frames a Venus-inspired original sculpture by local artist Brent Barnidge. The Garden Courtyard entices guests to enjoy a relaxing cocktail beneath gaslight lanterns and shaded by a pergola with cooling ceiling fans.

Couvant, our signature French-inspired Louisiana brasserie, is housed within the original Peychaud Cocktail Bitters factory.
Inspired by the region’s abundance, eclectic influences, good wine and high spirits, Executive Chef Ryan Pearson creates a menu that gathers people to the Southern table like only this city can.

The Press Room, the social lobby bar of The Eliza Jane, is an intimate living room-inspired lounge that is an homage to The Daily Picayune newspaper and our namesake Eliza Jane Nicholson. The Press Room serves cocktails and small bites in a rich, book-filled setting.

Located just two blocks from the French Quarter and surrounded by iconic neighborhoods, attractions, and history, The Eliza Jane embodies the New Orleans spirit of the Cajun French saying, laissez les bons temps rouler, meaning “let the good times roll.”
