The Notre Dame Spiritual Center sits atop Shaker Hill in Alfred. The hill was home to a Shaker settlement from 1793 until 1931 when the Brothers of Christian Instruction purchased the property. The Brothers opened the retreat center in 1981. We have many groups that come every year. We have two retreat houses and offer on-site dining, with a customized menu.
