Château de Contay is an historic estate rebuilt in 1753 after the demolition of the medieval castle during the Spanish invasions. Kings, such as Francis the 1st, princes and officers, such as Faidherbe, as well as artists went here to rule, escape or find inspiration, the most famous of them being Jules Verne.
