Yoga personally helped me deal with my panic attacks and anxiety disorder, which I had been struggling with since my late teens.

I learned how to be more in touch with myself and my feelings, experiencing that they come and go and don´t harm me and how to also feel more ""at home"" in my own body.

I am a very sensitive person, meaning that I can empathize with my students and can support them in transforming certain patterns.

The mixture of yoga combined with mindfulness, pranayama and reiki, turns my practice into something that can go very deep and can therefore also go beyond a normal physical workout.

The most important thing for me in yoga though is to meet ourselves lovingly and with a lot of self-acceptance.

Our practice is different every day, as we - our body, our mind - are different and fluctuating every day.

Retreat Specialties

One of my specialties is designing one on one retreats. You tell me what you need and I put together your individual treatment plan. I book the accommodation and can also arrange a personal chef to take care of your food preferences, so that in the end there is nothing for you left to do but indulge yourself. Portugal has so much to offer and definitely has a special energy and healing power. The nature is stunning. And the coastline changes completely from the South to the Westcoast. A selection of therapies that could e.g. be included in your retreat are: transformational breathwork, trauma release bodywork, indigenous plant medicine, sound and gong baths, massages

Teaching Specialties

My students can expect a lot of empathy from me. Coming from competitive sports in my younger years, they can expect me to tell them to rather do less than more. My classes are designed to help you heal, recover and nourish yourself.

What are your favorite Retreat Venues around the world

One of my favourite venues is my friend's place called "Jolly Château" in France - this place was already amazing when I taught at their first ever "pilot yoga retreat" in October 2016. Since then they have invested so much of their time, love and work to make this one of the most comfortable and beautiful retreat places here in Europe. Karuna Retreat Center in Portugal - simple, yet this place has everything that you really need to retreat from your every day life. You feel you are on top of the world. The air and nature are amazing. You can clear your head and open your heart.

What's your personal definition of what it means to thrive?

We can only thrive, if we are in full acceptance of who we are and where we are right now. And living according to our true nature. Sometimes this means, changing our jobs, changing where we live, changing our routines, following our hearts desire. Doing what brings us joy and passion.

Who do you look up to ? Who has helped you the most along your teacher / retreat leader journey?

Brian Kest - I just love the way he teaches and that he is so accessible for his students and humble. Birgit Kunzli - kind, big-hearted and knowledgeable. Bernie Clark - amazing and knowledgeable yin yoga teacher. Mark Stephens - super insightful teachings/books.
