Located on the Bastimentos Island, Ataraxia is a solar powered lodge that offers lush nature right on the edge of the carribean sea. Our jungle, in the past a cocoa plantation, is home to a great variety of wildlife. The local fauna includes sloth, monkeys, anteaters, armadillo, boas, caïmans and a great variety of colorful birds.

Take a few steps from the jungle and jump into the clear water of the carribean sea, snorkel the bordering reef and paddle around our kayaks and stand up paddleboards.

Right midway between Bocas Town and Redfrog beach, our location offers the quietness and seclusion of remote island resorts at the same time as proximity and easy access (cheaper boat rides) to all tours and activities of the archipelago.
