Distinctive spaces for connection
Yoga Spaces
We have beautiful and expansive spaces within our center for you to be able to deliver an optimal retreat experience to your guests. With an outdoor open-air yoga deck complete with mats, meditation chairs, and props, a room with a lot of gathering space, communal dining, and smaller gathering areas, we are ready to host a variety of retreats ranging from yoga, dance, music, and meditation.
Our retreat center is able to host groups of up to 30 people.
The first three months of the year are usually fully booked over a year in advance- so for these dates please inquire early.
We have some availability in other months and will work with you to find a time that accommodates everyone.
Between May-September, we offer discounted rates due to it being the low season in Yelapa.
Infinity Pool Deck & Watsu Hot Tub
Our luxurious infinity edge pools are filled directly from the ocean, and not treated with any chlorine or other chemicals. They are heated to a comfortable temperature. We have one large swimming pool perfect for swimming, stretching, and floating.
Our Watsu hot tub is heated to body temperature and has jacuzzi jets that can address tension in the body.
Watsu is a gentle form of body therapy performed in warm water, (around 35°C.) It combines elements of massage, joint mobilization, shiatsu, muscle stretching, and dance. The receiver is continuously supported while being floated, cradled, rocked, and stretched. The deeply relaxing effects of warm water and nurturing support, combine with Watsu’s movements, stretches, massage, and point work, create a bodywork with a range of therapeutic benefits and potential healing on many levels.
Moments of stillness alternate with rhythmical flowing movements, which free the body in ways impossible on land.
Temazcal
A temazcal is a traditional Mexican sweat lodge. We have a temazcal on-site and host ceremonies led by a native Mexican couple. These ceremonies are wonderful community-building experiences for your retreat group.
Communal and Work Spaces
All of our accommodation is on-site, and we have a number of communal spaces for your attendees to gather and build connections, facilitate community experiences, and grow friendships.
We have a large dining room where we eat all of our meals. Our pool deck and two swimming pools have a number of chairs to lounge, hang out, and read. We have a spiritual cinema and a library where guests can gather and share ideas.
Dining Area
The restaurant on-site serves local cuisine. For a meal, guests can choose between taqueria los Abuelos and Tacos y Mas. Pura Vida Wellness Retreat serves American breakfast in the morning.

Staying at Pura Vida Wellness Retreat is an experience unlike any other. The rooms are located in a jungle and a tropical garden situated on the hill just at the ocean shore. Most of the rooms have breathtaking views of the ocean and Yelapa bay, they were built literally just above the ocean.
Many of our rooms are an open-air style with only three walls allowing for a view of the ocean and jungle - offering security, privacy, and fresh unpolluted air.

Juice and Smoothies Bar
Our poolside smoothie bar offers delicious smoothies, juices, and other options - all made with fresh, organic ingredients
The juice bar is also where retreat guests can choose to participate in the juice cleanse/fast, in which we offer freshly made fruit and vegetable juice in place of meals throughout the day.
Our reception desk doubles as a smoothie and juice bar, they can also make fresh juice for juice fasting options during your stay.
Organic Meals
We are proud of the food that we serve at Pura Vida Wellness Retreat and our guests always tell us how much they love it too.
Our meals are almost completely plant-based with some dairy and organic eggs offered at times. We also offer the option for your guests at certain meals to add on freshly caught local fish or free-range chicken at your request.
There are also delicious restaurants in the town of Yelapa, and many retreat hosts enjoy a night out for dinner with their group at one of the many options.
Our food is gluten-free, sugar-free, and vegetarian, always with vegan options. Fish and chicken can be offered as per request.
