I feel very fortunate to have been practicing yoga for the past 20 years. It has been a path of health, joy, transformation and empowerment since my teen years. Initially it was the physical practice that captured my attention, but over the years this led me to study all the other facets including pranayama, meditation, tantra, and yoga’s sister science, Ayurveda, as well as other influential disciplines, primarily Buddhism, the Tao te Ching, and plant medicines. Through these great teachings I’ve come to an understanding that all aspects of life are intricately interconnected, and that within and around each of us is a vibrant and limitless flow of energetic potential. Practices which lead us to recognize our connection to this creative energy and to all other beings as well as the natural world create a life of harmony. As a teacher and coach my goal is to impart my love of these practices on my students, so that they may embody this path of connection to their higher selves and to all other beings, and be empowered to access the great cosmic source of radiance, creativity, and healing.

I attended the Shambava School of Hatha Yoga in 2008 for my initial Yoga Teacher Training, and in 2015 completed a Prana Vinyasa training led by Monica Mesa, developed by visionary Yogini Shiva Rea. Over the years I have participated in over 700 hours of teacher trainings and now lead 200 Hour Prana Vinyasa Teacher Trainings as an affiliate of Shiva Rea’s Samudra Global School of Living Yoga.

More recently, I have been developing my knowledge of Ayurveda. I recently completed a 300 hour Ayurveda Wellness Coach training via the Shakti School, and am currently a Master’s of Science student in Maharishi Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine via Maharishi International University. I love to help people understand their unique constitution and incorporate the incredible science of ayurveda to help them find radiant health and balance. Even after all this time, the sun never says to the earth, "you owe me". Look what happens with a love like that! It lights the whole sky. ~ Hafiz

Retreat Specialties

What I love about bringing people on retreat is the opportunity to fully surrender to the experience and go deeper into the practices and teachings on a holistic level, while being nourished and restored from every angle.

What's your personal definition of what it means to thrive?

To THRIVE is to be living in total alignment with your purpose and in harmony with the natural rhythms of your body and the earth. When I'm thriving, I'm feeling energetic, inspired, creative, in love with myself and the people around me, and in deep connection with the cycles of nature.

Who do you look up to ? Who has helped you the most along your teacher / retreat leader journey?
