Retreat Specialties

The retreats I lead encompass and encourage time in nature, journaling, laughter, playfulness, sound healing, yoga and meditation to ground down and grow into parts of yourself that may need to be revisited and remembered. A sense of community and love , always love.

Teaching Specialties

They can expect self inquiry. An intention set before we begin practice. A challenge from me to take the practice off the mat and into their own personal world. A massive amount of encouragement, playfulness, and an invitation to expand within each breath into their whole being through movement and mindfulness. Moments of rest but also moments to physically and mentally push for cellular turnover.

What are your favorite Retreat Venues around the world

Floating Leaf, Bali Indonesia. The third story is an open-air movement studio where you could look out over the rice fields towards complete calm. Allegretto Resort, Paso Robles, California. My friend Doug Ayers designed this resort themed around artifacts he gathered on his global travels. From giant crystals surrounding the Chakra themed restaurant to beautiful wood carvings from India in the gardens to Egyptian pieces crafted after antiquities by the pool- it’s a feast for the senses from a global viewpoint all in one place. Treebones, Big Sur, California. Teaching retreats here for over 13 years, this is my go-to homage for simplicity in nature. Because nature doesn’t lie, you get to see the raw, unmanicured lost coast here. Hear the sea lions as you meditate overlooking the ocean. Nibble off the biodynamic garden that feeds the guest- oh my it’s heaven for my heart.

What's your personal definition of what it means to thrive?

To thrive is to embody feeling rooted and grounded in your environment upon which you are founded. “Like the trees, we root down to rise up.

Who do you look up to ? Who has helped you the most along your teacher / retreat leader journey?

My Father. A yoga teacher, watsu and cranial sacral teacher who has always held the light of living a sound and happy life. It started in our home and he introduced me to a world that at a young age made me question the norm, heavily respect nature and take me to back woods yoga that almost doesn’t exist anymore here in the states. Love you Dad- Larry. It helped that his friend started Manduka yoga mats and took him along for the ride.
