Harley felt an immediate connection with yoga when she took her first class six years ago. Although she recognized that it was much more challenging than she imagined, physically and mentally, she was drawn to continue on and learn more. She didn’t know why at the time, but she knew this was going to become a regular part of her lifestyle and not just a pastime or hobby.

Harley completed a 200hr intensive training in Tantric Hatha Yoga at Blue Osa in Costa Rica in 2016 but since has taken to Ashtanga yoga as her daily practice. She studies extensively at home and around the world, dedicating her life to being a forever student. Harley has completed a 300hr training with Jared McCann at Lighthouse Yoga in Brooklyn and is working on her yoga therapy certification with Breathing Deeply Yoga Therapy.

She now holds an annual Manifestation Yoga Retreat at Blue Osa in Costa Rica, with her friend, Alex (@thecypriotyogi), where they first became certified together years ago. This is the place that lights her upmost. It’s full of magic and wonder than she loves being able to share with you and anyone who wants to join. Harley is currently planning serval other international retreats at some amazing destinations in countries like India and Spain. She can’t wait until it’s safe for us all to travel again so that we can take these life-altering trips together!

Harley knows that there is no one cookie-cutter type of yoga because everyone is so different in mind, body, and spirit. She teaches Vinyasa, Hatha, Ashtanga, kids, chair and SUP yoga, and her aim is always to make the practice as accessible to all levels and types of people as possible. Yoga is for everybody, and she wants you to feel that and believe it!

We are all one in the same when we break down the ego and take off the mask, no difference at heart and core. Remembering who we are collectively, as a whole, is a humbling and inspiring reminder to love ourselves no more than anyone else.

What are your favorite Retreat Venues around the world

Blue Osa in Costa Rica, obviously. As I mentioned several times before, it is such a powerful, magical place located just 50m from it’s private beach in the heart of the jungle in perfect paradise. There’s so much to love there- the sounds of the howler monkeys at 4 am and the macaws squawking overhead throughout the day, the farm-to-table fresh and delicious food, the friendly and welcoming staff, the culture, the yoga shala, the pool, the massages, the spiritual energy, and the morning prayers. It’s just something so special. You have to see it and feel it for yourself to believe it.

What's your personal definition of what it means to thrive?

To thrive is to be authentically and genuinely living your best life in all aspects and capacities.

Who do you look up to ? Who has helped you the most along your teacher / retreat leader journey?

Alexandros Liatsos, for manifesting our first ever retreat with me, and for showing me that anything is possible if you put the effort and energy into it and believe. Christine Hoar, for being an inconceivably incredible and most inspiring teacher, who I aspire to be like. Denizee Kearns, for her constant support, guidance, and kindness- another most inspiring teacher and beautiful person, inside and out, who I admire and aspire to be like. Yogi Aaron, for a life-changing and unforgettable first experience at the magical paradise that is Blue Osa, and for my first yoga teacher certification. Gina Caccavalla for being the baddest-assed, coolest, most inspiring woman and my first ever yoga teacher.
