Dr. Erica Matluck is a modern medicine woman and the co-creator of Seven Senses, a holistic framework for healing and transformation. She is a naturopathic doctor, family nurse practitioner, Reiki Master and multidisciplinary yoga instructor. She has travelled all over the world, from the Himalayas to the Amazon jungle to train with healers and teachers that have different perspectives and approaches to healing. Combining over a decade of experience working in conventional and alternative medicine, she brings a truly holistic lens to wellbeing, addressing the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual aspects of health. Ancient wisdom and Eastern philosophy thread through all of her work, which has been featured in Harpers Bazaar, Mindbodygreen, Well and Good, Vogue and Women’s Health. Erica has a private practice and works with groups throughout the world.

What are your favorite Retreat Venues around the world

Pachamama in Todos Santos, Mexico has been my favorite venue to host at. The property provides a lot of flexibility and the ability to tightly control light and sound- which are integral to our work.

What's your personal definition of what it means to thrive?

In my life, thriving is a state of wellbeing where I feel and full and resourced enough (physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually) to share my energy with others. It is the state where one's orientation moves from me to we.

Who do you look up to ? Who has helped you the most along your teacher / retreat leader journey?

I consider everyone a teacher. My patients over the years have probably taught me more about healing than any one single person but there have been many teachers in human form along the way. The teachers that have helped me the most in my life have been the master plants themselves. They reside in Peruvian Amazon.
