All of my classes, regardless of style, is focused on a thoughtful flow with an emphasis on alignment, focused breathing, and finding the joy of being in our bodies. First and foremost, I view my job as providing a safe space for my students to find stillness in their minds, freedom in their bodies, and perhaps healing what is meant to be healed. Marrying my two careers as a writer and yoga teacher/therapist, I try to convey my love for the discoveries and stories that can be found on the mat, each nugget helping to make sense of the endless stories within all of us. I love being able to share adventures with my students as I lead them on retreats to beautiful locales.

Retreat Specialties

I try to find beautiful and accessible locations. There is a good blend of yoga/mindfulness activities and classes, as well as, adventures taking advantage of the location.

Teaching Specialties

I try to hold space for them to feel fearless to explore, to challenge themselves, and most importantly to embrace themselves. My classes are challenging, but I make sure they feel good about themselves regardless,

What are your favorite Retreat Venues around the world

Samahita Shala in Koh Samui, Thailand The shala is situated on a beautiful beach. The sense of community is wonderful. Yo1 is a wonderful Ayurvedic yoga retreat center/spa. The amenities are beautiful, the service exceptional.

What's your personal definition of what it means to thrive?

Thrive to me is when you feel in complete harmony with your life, surroundings, and feel as if you are being carried by the current rather than swimming against it.

Who do you look up to ? Who has helped you the most along your teacher / retreat leader journey?

Sonja Rzepski. Yanti Amos. Erica Mather. Dana Slamp. Each one of these powerful women encouraged me, supported me, and taught me how to be a teacher on and off of the mat.
