When not in the gym or studio or planning the next program or event, Julie enjoys singing, reading, spending time with her family and friends and occasionally sipping a champagne cocktail!

What are your favorite Retreat Venues around the world

The Training & Champagning Retreat outside of Tamarindo, in Guanacaste province Costa Rica was the most magical experience. The amazing scenery, gorgeous sunsets and people were something I'll never forget and can't wait to experience again. Highlands, North Carolina is also a special place. The hikes and scenic views there are breathtaking. It's a perfect mountain retreat.

What's your personal definition of what it means to thrive?

Our greatest renewable resource is our energy. When we find our passions and learn to harness our energy, our work doesn't feel like work and we can truly Thrive in both our personal and professional lives.

Who do you look up to ? Who has helped you the most along your teacher / retreat leader journey?

My first yoga instructor while was in graduate school in Austin, Texas inspired me to become a yoga instructor myself. Her classes provided an outlet for me and were my first introduction into how movement and practiced mindfulness come together to create magic.

This workout shows that you don’t need much weight or any equipment to get in a great workout. Plus the idea of pouring yourself a glass of wine afterwards may just be the extra boost of motivation you need to get started again!
