Sunita fell in love with yoga as soon as she stepped on her mat and hasn’t looked back - unless doing a backbend.

Years of practicing led Sunita to embark on her journey as a teacher. She completed a 200-hour Haha Yoga training with Yogahaven, a 300-hour Vinyasa training and a 50hr Yin training with Sampoona Yoga and 100hr Mandala Training with Yoga People both in India.

Sunita creates a friendly and inclusive space where she encourages students to move mindfully, with an emphasis on breath and good alignment. Sunita sprinkles each class in yoga philosophy to get you to think about life on and off the mat and apply its benefits to our daily life. Yoga helps us centre and balance our lives in a way that keeps us naturally happy, healthy and emotionally stable. Sunita feels very grateful she can share the magic of yoga with others.

Retreat Specialties

Retreats allow you to step away from everyday life, they give you an opportunity to delve deeper into your yoga practice, and most importantly, they give your heart and soul time and space that is needed to grow and expand.

Teaching Specialties

I create an environment where my students feel welcomed with open arms. I want everyone to feel inspired, uplifted, re-energised and reentered. Yoga might not change the outer world but it always brings you back to your centre and brings peace to your inner world.

What are your favorite Retreat Venues around the world

My first ever yoga retreat was in Italy The Shanti Centre Training School. A healing and nourishing space it was just magical.

What's your personal definition of what it means to thrive?

When you are inflow with your Dharma (life purpose)

Who do you look up to ? Who has helped you the most along your teacher / retreat leader journey?

I have many teachers that inspire me and have helped me on my journey but you never forgot the first teacher I connected with was an Ashtanga teacher called Shelly and through her teachings, I felt the transition from yoga being a physical practice to being so much more than just making shapes. It was in her classes that I really started to connect with teachings of yoga beyond the asana.
