As for many of us, yoga found me when I needed it most - and then completely transformed me and my life. Teaching me to live for love, authenticity, joy and continual healing. I guess it kind of awoke in me the realest, most alive version of "me" that was always there, but who had been hiding or sleeping for too long. My physical practice of yoga is all about what feels good and heals me emotionally and grows me spiritually, rather than what looks good in a photo. And that's what I try to inspire in those who attend my classes.

Ooo, I have two. "Life is what happens when you're busy making plans" (John Lennon, for me this talks about how the bigger picture is in the smaller things and the smaller things make up the bigger picture). And secondly, "Do what you can with what you know and when you know better, do better" (Unknown. For me this applies to consciousness and continual learning and growing, and also ahimsa, non-violence, the first principle of yoga, when talking about leaving animals off your plate once you learn that animals agriculture is the biggest contributor to climate change and that no animal deserves to die simply to satisfy the tastebuds of another - we should not believe ourselves to be superior over other innocent, sentient beings.)

Retreat Specialties

I'm lucky enough to live on-site to me gorgeous yoga studio and where I hold most of my retreats. In the beautiful home and gardens of Farndon Grange, East Farndon, Market Harborough, Leicestershire. We are totally immersed in nature here, with lakes and rescued swans, birdsong and rolling fields. It's just stunning. This is where I play my yoga, hold my yoga classes, and retreats, do Indian massage and nutritional therapy.

Teaching Specialties

I am right there with them on this healing journey, guiding and supporting them every step of the way - physically, emotionally and mentally. I prioritise fun, moving intuitively and taking rest and self-love seriously!

What are your favorite Retreat Venues around the world

Evia Silence on Evia Island, Greece was such a beautiful, tranquil location for a yoga retreat hosting 10-20 people. Held in a cove of clear, fresh ocean water, surrounded with countryside to explore, little apartment rooms and a beautiful cafe. I love teaching at festivals, my favourite being Shambala, Farr, and Noisily in the UK. Teaching at Epizode festival in Vietnam was incredible: sunset yoga on the beach every day. In London, my favourite venue space is 42 acres. Holding breathwork, gong and yoga journies there is very special.

What's your personal definition of what it means to thrive?

Thriving in life, to me is all about grasping life by the danglies and really living. Savouring all those small moments, saying yes, choosing adventure, spontaneity, love, joy, connectedness. Those of us who have been lucky enough to realise that this one short life is all we've got - so why not just go for it? Do what scares you, do what you want to, be how you want to be, dress how you want to dress, go where you want to go, say what you want to say. Your life, your rules. Thrive in aliveness, and inspire that in others.

Who do you look up to ? Who has helped you the most along your teacher / retreat leader journey?

My most beloved yoga teacher was Ryan Ludlam from Leicester, who began my yoga journey right in the beginning. When I had lost everything, I found the light in his classes.
