Gradually moving away from an accidental career in the music industry and a hedonistic lifestyle that was rapidly losing its lustre, I discovered Yoga as a form of damage limitation. It brought me back to my senses, quite literally. And I didn’t choose teaching, it seemed to choose me, over and over again. And now, navigating my way through the 'second spring', these practices have become all the more pertinent. Combining all of this with transformational experiences in beautiful locations give s me an excuse to indulge my wanderlust... sun, sea and stretching are my not-so-guilty pleasures.

Retreat Specialties

I'm interested in the full package, not just the best yoga teaching but also: great location, comfortable accommodation, fully equipped yoga space with awesome views, fabulous food and easy access from the airport

Teaching Specialties

Dynamic Vinyasa Flow is still my primary practice, although these days my offerings have evolved to include the softer forms of Yin and Restorative Yoga, Qi Gong, Mindfulness and Yoga Nidra. My teaching style is clear and practical, peppered with humour and warmth. Don’t expect incense and chanting: my style is more pragmatic, grounded in many years of practice and personal experience.

What are your favorite Retreat Venues around the world

Bamboo Yoga Retreat in Goa in India - Yoga right on the beach, fully immersed in nature listening to the waves and watching the dolphins play. The best Asian fusion food and the friendliest team of staff where everything is taken care of, including you. This would have been my 14th consecutive annual retreat.

What's your personal definition of what it means to thrive?

to have a lifestyle that nourishes health, happiness and harmony encouraging vitality, fulfilment and growth in every area.

Who do you look up to ? Who has helped you the most along your teacher / retreat leader journey?

Godfrey Devereux, my first serious teacher, whose yoga 'camp' in Ibiza provided my first retreat experience followed by my first Teacher Training. Shiva Rae who brought the music back into the flow, Sarah Powers who showed me stillness and silence and Judith Lasater whose wisdom and humour got me back on my feet.
