A psychologist by education, a psychotherapist by practice, in the last 20 years I developed own method of psychotherapy that is based on the connection between two “Authentic identities”, me, the therapist and the student/client/patient (whatever the name you prefer). For that, of course, I must know the difference between the voice of authentic me and the voice of ever-persistent ego. Also, one needs to be open in the time of the connection with a client and have a clarity of mind to speak what is relevant in helping a client to find their own, fulfilling life path. For this, a therapist needs courage, strength and stability. Lucky for me I do :)
A session by session, or day by day in the period of a retreat, I keep highlighting the presence of client's Ai (Authentic identity) and dismissing the voice of ego to the point, where the difference between the Ai and the Ego - conditioned, programmed, controlled by the outside world “I” so obvious to me, becomes obvious to the client. At that point, a client gains the ability to create desired change. The most effective way to help someone, who is struggling with darkness is through offering guidance rooted in a connection between a clear mind and the open heart. This enables a sure transfer of energy drawn from wisdom how to do it and gives strength to follow the guidance creating stable, permanent change. No school can prepare you for that, only my constant work of sorting out what’s wheat (authentic) what's chaff (ego) in my inner world enables me to do it.
