I was truly born to move - I remember years of changing my cleats for dance shoes in the back of my mom’s car. I knew from a very early age that I could never have a desk job. I became a full-time personal trainer right out of college and have spent the last 24 years coaching indoors and outside, flying internationally with corporate clients, and 7 years as the onsite fitness instructor for 2 major film studios. I also travel domestically and internationally leading workshops and corporate wellness programs.

I am an outdoor fitness junkie and have cycled, ran, hiked, climbed, paddled, and surfed all over the world. My love for adventurous travel combined with my passion for fitness led me to create Sweat Play Live fitness retreats in 2010. I absolutely live to inspire people to be strong for what they love to do and help them create their own healthy, active lives!

I specialize in functional movement and corrective exercise and weave both into all of my private sessions and group classes during my retreats. I am also a master coach for XPT (Laird Hamilton and Gabby Reece’s performance training brand) and enjoy sharing performance breath work, underwater workouts, and recovery techniques with my guests as well.

I am happily living in Punta de Mita, Mexico and feel so fortunate to meet and train clients and retreat guests from around the world. I would absolutely love to show you the secrets of my tropical playground!

Retreat Specialties

Because I live here in Punta de Mita, I give my guests the true local experience - Showing them the secret spots to eat, hike and play. My retreats are also multi-activity fitness-based retreats... so be ready to strengthen and lengthen both your body and your mind.

Teaching Specialties

I begin and end each class, whether it be fitness, yoga, or meditation/breath work, with a moment of gratitude. I am very good at reading the energy of the students in front of me and will always tailor each class to fit needs of everyone (beginners to experts) in the room.

What are your favorite Retreat Venues around the world

Rancho La Puerta in Tecate, Mexico. One of the top fitness spas in the world. I am very fortunate to be a seasonal instructor there in the summers. Everything about the Ranch is pure heaven. Palmasola (private villa) in Punta de Mita, Mexico. The property is absolutely gorgeous and the staff is second to none. W Hotel in Punta Mita. Stunning property designed by incredible local Mexican artists. The staff went above and beyond to keep my guests happy.

What's your personal definition of what it means to thrive?

Thriving is feeling strong and balanced in body and mind and living your absolute BEST life!!

Who do you look up to ? Who has helped you the most along your teacher / retreat leader journey?

While I have been influenced by other instructor’s expertise or teaching styles, what inspires me the most to be a better trainer and teacher is my students and clients who are trusting me with their time and bodies.
