After being a lawyer for many years helping to promote access to justice for Indigenous people in Guatemala Maria changed her path.

The journey as a therapist began in 1998 when she had a healing experience with a Peruvian Shaman that used traditional medicine to heal physical, emotional and mental illness in the same year Maria began working with Bach Flowers remedies.

Both as a lawyer and a therapist, Maria loves to help people work through their existing conditions.

In 2006 Maria became a massage therapist, which was a tool that helped her improving physical, mental and emotional health of people. Then she studied to become a Reiki Master this gave her understanding of emotional balancing and non -physical healing energy work.

After having worked with the Bach Flowers for many years as a self-taught learner María decided to become a Registered Practitioner with the Bach Center in England to complete her work with the Flowers. Maria is a Registered Bach Flower Practiccioner and now studying to become a teacher.

Maria also received an introductory course in Acupuncture for pain relief, emotional balancing and strengthen the immune system.
María is trained in Sound Healing and a tutor at the Sound Healing Academy (England). Facilitates Retreats on Sound Healing and trainings).
Maria has lived in the Lake Atitlan area (in Tzununá) for the last 20 years and loves to work for the community and collaborate in development projects. María loves to work with her creativity and hands as a painter, poet writer, and knitter and crochet creator.

She is passionate about what she does and often finds herself doing treatments that last whatever time is needed for people to feel good, regardless of the fixed timing.

As a Retreat Leader the main focus is on connecting back with oneself with all the tools available in her trainings. But mainly using Sound Healing, Meditation, Yin Yoga and water and mayan Ceremonies. The Retreats last for 7 days.
