I am a 36-years old yoga teacher specialized in yin yoga, Hatha, Astanga, restorative yoga and outdoor yoga. My favorite place for teaching is an old arctic forest where we can feel the connection with the nature. My style of teaching is gentle, caring, respectful and down to Earth. I have been practicing yoga since year 2000.

I mostly teach yin yoga, hatha and yin-yang classes for small groups in our private studio. I love guiding nature connection exercises, wild herb courses and different workshops where we all can learn new things about ourselves and the subject. I am the founder of Arctic sky retreat and private holiday center and Yoga Reindeer brand. We are located in Saariselkä area, Lapland, Finland, surrounded by beautiful arctic forests and have a huge national park as our back yard.

I think that yoga is for everyone and we can perform it everywhere. We just need to find the safe, unique way for our bodies to practice and the surroundings that support our intention! Functional anatomy and nature are present in my classes. I only teach small groups and private classes to have an individual approach to the class. When we do not have much snow, some of the classes are held in nature and combined with nature connection exercises.

I am a yoga teacher on an infinite journey of learning. New things inspire me and I am constantly learning thing about yoga, anatomy, breathing, self-development, nature etc. As much as I love learning, I love spreading my knowledge to others who are willing to learn!

Retreat Specialties

We offer small group retreats that can be customized to meet customers needs. Our goal is to make dreams come true and we are happy to help with holiday arrangements. Our location is above the Arctic circle and the venue is unique and remote. Here you can connect with nature and enjoy the eight seasons! Explore the nightless night in summer or the kaamos the time when the sun does not rise in winter!

What are your favorite Retreat Venues around the world

Arctic sky in Finland - love the nature close by, small and comfy yoga shala, privacy and home-like feeling. This is a place where you can be you and build friendships that lost a life time! The small group size (3-10 persons) works amazingly for retreats and you can feel being taken care of during the whole experience!

What's your personal definition of what it means to thrive?

For me, being successful is to be in balance in every aspect of life and to have passion for what you are doing.

Who do you look up to ? Who has helped you the most along your teacher / retreat leader journey?

Dessislava Ivanova was on the same 200 hrs YTT with me in year 2015. She is inspiring, wise and she lights up the room with her presence! She has helped me with retreat organizing, teaching and planning and the most important thing encouraged me to speak English and connect. Swami Atmananda introduced me to yoga nidra and guided me to deeper knowledge of meditation in year 2015. His tone of the voice is calming and his knowledge of philosophy, meditation and homeopathy is inspiring. Clare Gates-Sjöblom introduced me to yin yoga year 2018 and has been my teacher since. She have done a lot of research about facias, yin yoga, functional anatomy, Chinese medication and meridians (just to mention few). There are so many things to learn from her! My spouse, family and friends have been supportive and could not have started my journey without them!
