Hello! I'm Stefanie.

I'm a registered social worker, psychotherapist, yoga instructor and creative. The foundation of my work is to support and guide individuals to access their inner wisdom, develop connection between themselves and the world, and find a life with more ease and clarity.

My yoga classes can be described as 'slow flow' vinyasa, prioritizing moving with intention and intuition. My work as a therapist, movement instructor, and circle facilitator support an integrated approach to well-being.

Teaching Specialties

Students can expect a trauma-informed approach that honours each individual experience. I like to weave in topics from my background in psychology and mental health to tie in our practice.

What are your favorite Retreat Venues around the world

Float Valley in Canada (https://floatvalley.com/) - this gorgeous wellness centre offers floatation therapy, infrared sauna, yoga classes and special offerings. I love how I can start off with a yoga class, melt my tension away in the sauna (complete with a screen to watch Netflix or stream Spotify!!) and then float off into bliss in the float tank. Facilitating workshops here have also been a blast and easy to coordinate with staff.

What's your personal definition of what it means to thrive?

To "thrive" reminds me of one of my favourite Oprah quotes: "We're all looking for the highest, fullest expression of ourselves as a human being."

Who do you look up to ? Who has helped you the most along your teacher / retreat leader journey?

Serge Bandura- An incredibly wise, humble and creative mentor https://www.shivakaliyoga.com/. Gloria Baraquio- A super talented bhakti yogini who radiates love and wisdom. https://www.shivakaliyoga.com/. Tasha Jade Banate- A spicy Filipinx dedicated to decolonizing spiritual and wellness practices. Also, co-creator and co-facilitator of our virtual sacred space, Kapwa sanctuary! https://www.dailymagic.ca/
