Twenty-one years ago (wow, has it been that long??) I had a dream. When I announced this dream at a dinner party, many friends thought I was joking, perhaps going through a mid-life crisis even though I was only 31. I had been living and working in Toronto (Ontario, Canada) but always felt the country calling me home. That's when I decided I wanted to live on a farm with animals and learn to lead a healthy, sustainable and environmentally friendly life.

I was thrilled when I found the perfect home in a town called Cobourg, only an hour east of Toronto. The small-town atmosphere is very welcoming and there are so many sights to see. From antique shopping to relaxing on the beach, to hiking in the forest there is something for everyone!

I work(ed) in the city but live in the country...I'm truly lucky to live the best of both worlds. I've been hosting family & friends at my farm for many years and in 2012 decided to open my home and farm to guests. It's a chance for me to share this incredible place with others so they can experience the same joy of being here as I do. We've hosted many family gatherings, girls weekends and even some weddings. Many of our guests have returned time and again, often lovingly calling Cobblestone "their farm".

Retreat Specialties

Guests who visit the farm either have fond memories of growing up on a farm or this is their first time. In both cases, it's wonderful to see the joy they experience with all the farm has to offer: peace, tranquility, space, fresh air, animals, etc.

Teaching Specialties

I like people to get outside their comfort zone so I strongly encourage that exploration but also respect honest fear. Two way communication is key and I am always listening.

What are your favorite Retreat Venues around the world

I've never hosted a retreat outside of my farm Cobblestone Farm Retreat

What's your personal definition of what it means to thrive?

We all have that voice inside us that helps to guide us through life. In order to "Thrive" I think we need to be true to that voice and overcome our fears to become the person we truly want to be.

Who do you look up to ? Who has helped you the most along your teacher / retreat leader journey?

My guests, specifically the children that come to visit the farm are my greatest inspiration. That said, my mother and grandmother have both been my biggest inspiration and my biggest supporters throughout my life (may they both rest in peace)
