About Aqai

AQai specializes in adaptability intelligence and is dedicated to helping individuals and organizations navigate change effectively. The AQai team is fairly small with just eight employees, although community members also join their retreats with an aim to bring everyone together in an inspiring way. They’ve been running one retreat a year since 2021 and love how it gives them the space to strengthen their community and foster deeper connections.

GOALS FOR THE RETREAT
Bonnie Ziervogel is a Partner Success Executive at AQai and planned this year’s retreat. The AQai team’s vision was to build a stronger sense of community and cultivate meaningful relationships while simultaneously transitioning the retreat to a more sustainable, profit-generating model.

Meeting & Mingling
AQai’s retreat planning strategy was all about balancing rejuvenating and creative outdoor activities with plenty of time for impactful brainstorming sessions that helped their community and colleagues better understand the power of AQ while also helping them learn how to apply it. Bonnie and the AQai team also focused on fostering deeper connections and transitioning the retreat into a way to generate profits for the company, with plenty of time to relax in between.

Because team members are scattered around the world, it was beneficial to find a location that everyone could reach easily. Outdoor Activities & Rejuvenating Experiences

The team activities were a blast, featuring:

  1. Morning Medicine: Each full day of the retreat began with an activity meant to revitalize the group in both body, mind, and spirit. These sessions included meditation, grounding, TRE, and gratitude practice—a great way to start the day off on the right foot.
  2. Padel Matches: Team padel matches were a unique but exciting daily community gathering point. Padel is a popular sport and served as a fun, cultural activity. These matches offered the group an opportunity to blow off steam after a full day of meetings and information exchanges. It was also a great way to build team bonds and get outside.
  3. Dancing & Comedy: Similar to the morning sessions, evenings were dedicated to team dinners followed by fun activities like a comedy performance and dancing.
  4. Gala Dinner: To cap off the event, AQai hosted a gala dinner in the property’s glasshouse.

Bonnie and the AQai team made sure to plan for a balance of outdoor activities that everyone could get excited about, breaks, and concentrated work sessions. Mornings began with revitalizing sessions of meditation, grounding, and gratitude while evenings were dedicated to exciting padel games, team dinners, and post-dinner performances like comedy shows and dancing.
